Our Objectives
- Create suitable rehabilitation facilities with health-care services, basic and occupational short courses, education and dormitories mainly for people affected by drug abuse and addiction.
- Carry out psychological assessments relating to drug abuse and addiction rehabilitation and provide findings where appropriate for court proceedings.
- Provide therapy and support to victims and survivors of abuse and support educational training that can help them move forward.
- Provide court preparation and ongoing support for children and caregivers involved in criminal court proceedings.
- Promote restorative and youth justice through diversion programmes and training.
- Gather and publish relevant statistics relating to child sexual abuse, drug abuse and addiction rehabilitation in South Africa.
- Provide ongoing training and skills development in the prevention of child abuse, drug abuse and addiction.
- Build the capacity of community-based organisations through expertise and experience.
- Provide specialist consultancy in child sexual abuse, drug abuse and addiction.
- Network with specialists and cooperate with government and national or international organisations on matters relating to child abuse and neglect.
- Promote policies and measures designed to strengthen prevention and quality services.
- Undertake advocacy to support accessible, high-quality care and rehabilitation services.
- Create occupational course lesson plans that can support handwork, skills and employment opportunities for people in rehabilitation.
- Carry out medical assessments, administer tests and provide treatment for drug abuse and addiction where appropriately authorised and available.
- Create community awareness about the complications of drug abuse and addiction.
